Dr. Brian Arthur Brown delivered a presentation on the Muslim and Christian understandings of the nature of Scripture on April 5, 2008. While explaining the Muslim perspective on both sets of scripture and the shades of understanding within the Christian community, Dr. Brown's presentation on the differing and at the same time complimentary views of scripture was illuminating to all in attendance.

 

About Brian Arthur Brown
Holding a Master of Divinity degree from McGill University in Montreal and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the San Francisco Theological Seminary in California, Dr. Brown is an ordained minister of the United Church of Canada. Published in 2007 by T&T Clark, Dr. Brian’s current book, "Noah’s Other Son, Bridging the Gap Between the Bible and the Qur’an," tells the stories of 25 well known Biblical characters as retold in the Qur’an. "Noah’s Other Son" presents the story of Canaan, the rebellious son who refused to get on the ark. It is a parable relating to our personal rebellions against God and the world situation in which Jews, Christians and Muslims find themselves today.
