In an effort to foster interfaith dialogue, Scioto Educational Foundation has participated in community dinners with various churches. The dinners took place during Ramadan, or October, in different days. These community dinners were invaluable moments for people from different faiths to come together at a table, and try to understand each other better. During these dinners, speakers from both communities have shortly explained the importance of fasting and self-discipline in both faiths. Before the dinner, representatives of both groups have prayed to God in their own faiths. As Scioto Educational Foundation, we would like to take this opportunity to thank members of these churches for hosting these dinners: St. Francis of Assisi Church, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and St. Thomas More Newman Catholic Center.
